Staff Sergeant Mark Adams began his military career serving with the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard in Washington, D.C., before continuing his service with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. Over a 20-year military career—including 17 years as an Apache Attack Helicopter crewman—Mark deployed twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, most recently to Afghanistan from 2012–2013. He retired honorably in 2021.
Mark is proud to support the mission of Green Star Families of America and is deeply committed to honoring and advocating for families of servicemembers who have died by suicide. His dedication to service extends beyond the uniform into education, where he has spent more than 23 years as a high school special education teacher. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate at Lehigh University, with an anticipated graduation in Spring 2027.
Mark’s work reflects a lifelong commitment to service, advocacy, and the well-being of families who carry invisible sacrifice. He is pictured alongside his daughter, Ava, age 15—his greatest source of pride and purpose.
